The virtual machine status is unknown and cannot be operated. How do I resolve this?
ZSvirt was open-sourced from the ZStack ZSphere commercial project and has since developed independently. Some code, configuration, and documentation still retain historical ZStack/ZSphere names (such as environment variables, configuration items, dependencies, paths, and commands). These names are for compatibility only and do not affect the normal use of ZSvirt.
Cause
The host is in an abnormal state, preventing virtual machine operations through the virtualization platform UI.
Solution
-
Check whether the host running the virtual machine is in a disconnected state.
-
Log in to the Management Node and run the following commands to stop the virtual machine:
[root@localhost ~]# zstack-cli admin >>> LogInByAccount accountName=admin password=$password //admin password admin >>> UpdateVmInstance state=Stopped uuid=$UUID //UUID of the target virtual machine -
Restart the virtual machine from the virtualization platform UI.
